This post is dedicated to one of my personal favorites in the GECC.  A privilage to work with always cheerful, and brightens up everyone's day.  She's always willing to take on new tasks and help out however she can.  A true armor bearer. Missions is definitely on her heart and we will miss her greatly as she is off on her adventures in Thailand.  For this occasion I wrote a little poem.

H-elping out with any little task from filling water balloons to taking care of emails and blogs

E-team for life

A-dmirable

T-rust worthy with whatever responsibility came her way

H-hhhhhmmmmmm

E-xtremely funny

R-eally really rediculously nice.

en·cour·age -
1. to inspire with courage, spirit, or confidence: His coach encouraged him throughout the marathon race to keep on running.
2. to stimulate by assistance, approval, etc.: One of the chief duties of a teacher is to encourage students.
3. to promote, advance, or foster: Poverty often encourages crime.

Lies! All Lies I tell you!

Encouragement has done nothing but lie and steal from me!
A sad day for the Hart Attacks... Paul, you will be greatly missed.

Now I know that many of you have already heard about the situation that is going on with TM right now. So, I'm not trying to annoy you into giving money to this ministry, that's not my style. I'm the type of person who will tell it to you straight...so here it goes!

I first came to know TM through a cousin who I saw the radical change in her life from the internship, and I was looking for that change in my own. So, I came here and met most of you...all of us at the same point in our lives, needing direction and yearning for the Lord's presence. I still remember the first days here, when we were all so raw and still filled with a ton of filth the world had thrown upon us (I am definitely not looking down on anyone cause I was one of the worst). Now I still talk with many of you from time to time and I get to see you a little less often, but one thing that is more visible and clear are the things this ministry has imparted to each of us. I am not asking that you "find it in your hearts" to give back to the ministry that helped form you into the Man/Woman that God created you to be...I'm commanding you to. It doesn't matter how much you give back, whether it be $1 or $100, just show some gratitude to the tool that God used to bring you to the place where you are. I just think of the parable of the 10 lepers and how only one came back to give thanks to the one who changed his life forever. Jesus isn't here on earth as a human being, but if he were I'm sure you would run back to him to give thanks. How is this a different situation? God has specifically used this ministry to do the work that his son did while living on this earth, and we should be that ONE leper that ran back to give thanks for the change.

I would be pretty disappointed to say that only ONE of us ran back to give thanks to the Lord for the ministry that changed our very lives.

If you feel the way I do, PLEASE read below and give back thanksgiving to the work of the LORD!!!

Dear Partner,

I consider all of you close friends, and would like to share with you the recent status of what is happening here at Teen Mania with the BattleCry movement. It seems like this is a season of both incredible favor and challenge. I would like to describe both to you.

I wish we all could have been together in San Francisco to experience God move in the hearts of so many young people. Our event began on Friday night as we gathered together on the steps of City Hall for a heavily protested prayer rally. It continued on Saturday morning as we were required to worship via radio due to a "last minute" noise ordinance imposed against our event. By the time everything was finished, over 11,000 of the 22,000 attendees either committed or re-committed their lives to Christ. It was another powerful example that the Word of God cannot be silenced.

This event also sparked some incredible media coverage across the nation as teens stood for their faith at City Hall - The O’Reilly Factor, New York Times, CNN Presents, Fox News, and ABC’s Nightline all reported on this event as well as multiple local affiliates. This event and the other 40 regional events we continue to do each weekend are part of our effort to do everything we know to do to reach teens for Christ through our Battle Cry campaign. We are so amazed at how God is using the BattleCry events to wake up teens to stand up for their faith to show millions of people across the nation that teens are in trouble and in need help.

I wanted to share this exciting news with you, but also share the most challenging situation we have faced in our 20-year history.

Passionately pursuing this generation with this BattleCry movement is taking significant investment. Where we used to do one stadium event every other year in addition to our weekly Acquire the Fire events, we are in the middle of completing six stadium events in two years. In addition to that, we have created so many tools for local churches to use to double the size of their youth group. We have invested so much money for this BattleCry movement to create this momentum that we have a severe cash deficit RIGHT NOW. We need significant help in order to keep going forward. 150,000 teens in the next 2 months will be impacted by our perseverance today, and to reach them, we must have your financial help now.

I am emailing you today to ask if you would prayerfully consider helping us meet an immediate financial need that will enable us to continue the work of reaching a generation.

Can I count on you to help us with a gift of $25, $50, or $100 so we can reach even more young people in this generation with the love of Christ?

If you can help, please make a donation by credit card or Use PayPal to make your donation. Checks can be mailed to Teen Mania Ministries, PO Box 2000, Garden Valley, TX 75771.

Given the urgency of this moment, I urge you to contact your local church leaders and ask them to take a special offering at church this week. Will you take a step right now to join us in rescuing teens? Forward this email to everyone you know and make a larger impact!

Consumed by the Call,

Ron Luce
